AI Voice Coach · The Mental Game

Release

Golf Mental Game
Mind stats, not swing stats.

A hands-free, emotion-aware voice coach that plays every round with you — settling you before the first tee, working the range, talking you through every putt, and closing the round in the quiet after.

Release is an AI voice coach, not a human. It coaches the mental game — not your swing mechanics — and it is not therapy or medical care. For ages 13 and up; players under 18 need a parent's consent.

What it is

A coach for the part of golf no one coaches.

The swing has its coaches. The mind — focus, nerves, routine, commitment, the patience to stay in a round — decides the score and is barely coached at all, and never in the moment it's needed. Release is a voice in your ear that coaches the mind, hands-free, on the course. It reads how you sound, meets you where you are, and draws the good decision out of you. Then it gets quiet so you can play.

On the course

Five moments. One coach.

Release isn't a chatbot you open. It's a coach who knows which moment of golf you're in and changes how it talks.

Before

Pre-round

Reads how you're arriving, settles or sharpens you, sets controllable intentions, and points you at the first tee ready to go.

Practice

The range

Turns ball-beating into real reps: a target and a decision on every ball, external focus, and small pressure games.

Practice

Practice round

Walks the course with you tee box to green, building the on-course routine you'll lean on when it counts.

On the green

Putting

A quiet-eye green ritual — read, commit, react — for the part of golf most ruled by the mind.

After

Post-round

Closes the round in a way that builds you up: names what went well, separates a bad shot from a bad round, and pulls one thing to carry forward — then writes it down for you.

The rhythm

Decide. Execute. Respond.

Underneath every context is one loop — the rhythm good players run on every shot. Release coaches the loop, not the swing.

01

Decide

Pick the shot and commit — target, shape, one clear intention — before you're over the ball.

02

Execute

A quiet mind and one external cue. The thinking is done; now just react to the target.

03

Respond

Accept the outcome cleanly, reset, and step to the next shot free of the last one.

The loop that remembers

It remembers your golf.

A coach that forgets you between rounds is just a clever toy. Release closes the loop. You reflect — in a free-form journal you can write or speak, and in a short round note the coach drafts for you after the round. It carries what you're working on into the next round. And it coaches it: "Last round you wanted to commit harder off the tee — let's hold that today." What you log becomes what it trains.

Your golf is yours

Private by design.

Your journal entries and round notes are stored on your iPhone — not in a cloud database. Spoken journal entries are transcribed on the device, and the audio is discarded; only your words remain. Live coaching audio is processed in the moment and never retained. Release doesn't train AI on your content, and doesn't sell your data.

Why I built this

The mind is the open game.

I'm Daniel. I built Release because every golfer knows where the strokes really go — the tightened grip on the first tee, the three-putt after a bad drive, the round that unravels after one hole. We pour money into the swing and almost nothing into the mind that's about to make it.

The methods that help aren't a secret. Cue words, a quiet pre-shot routine, external focus, accepting the outcome and stepping to the next shot — sport psychologists have taught these for decades. What's been missing is a way to have that coach with you in the moment it matters: on the first tee, over the putt, in the car on the way to the course. Voice AI finally makes that possible.

Release isn't a swing coach and it isn't therapy. It's a calm, sharp voice for the mental game — and a memory that gets to know your golf the longer you play. I'm building it because the mind is the part of this game that's been left alone for too long.
